Well this is the time of year to go to the lake. I am super excited, because I have not been down to our cabin yet this year. Jerm and I are planning on leaving tomorrow and stopping by Walmart to get our fishing licenses. We love to fish and crawdad trap at the boat dock.
This year we have a boat which is really exciting because, I have had one on and off my whole life. Dad is going to take us out on lots of boat rides and get us familiar with pulling the boat onto the lift. He installed lots of pads so we don't scrap up the boat. Lets just say we have had a few people run our waverunners into the dock while pulling them in. We all know how to drive the boat, it's just pulling it up on the lift that will be tricky.
I am also interested to see how Addie does on the boat. She loves walking down to the water.....she pretty much throws herself into the waves. She also loves taking walks around the neighborhood, but this year we are going to get her on the boat and see how she does. Her dog mommy Sophie (my mom's dog that use to be Jessie's) does very well down there on the boat. My mom said that last weekend she laid down on a towel and slept the whole boat ride. We will have to wait and see. I am planning on taking some pictures this weekend that hopefully I can post on here.
Mom and Dad are headed down today (Friday) and will be at the cabin through Monday. Jess and Brandon will be down on Monday, but we will only have one day of fun with them because Jerm has to be back to work on Tuesday. Brandon is off so they may stay down till Tuesday night. It is going to be a fun weekend in the sun. We are hoping for no rain!!! I hope all of you have a safe and relaxing Memorial Weekend.
