1 Year Anniversary

One year down and many more to go. Jeremy and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary relaxing at the cabin and the Landing this weekend. We had a friend's wedding on Friday night so we didn't head to the lake until Saturday morning. We spent Saturday out on the boat, lounging in the lake on air mattresses, and enjoying dinner at Joe's Crab Shack on the Landing. On Sunday, we slept in and made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We then went back out on the boat to enjoy more time in the sunshine. Relaxing in the water was so nice for me!! I was a little worried about getting out of the water back into the boat, but I didn't have any trouble even with my big belly.....just took me longer than normal. The weather was perfect all weekend and we had a wonderful time just being together!

Our first open house was also on Sunday. It went well and our realtor said it was a good showing. We are waiting to hear from her and praying we get an offer sometime soon.

Jeremy's work is having a shower for us on Friday and my family and friends shower is this coming Saturday. I can't wait to see all of the wonderful things that we get for Hudson!

Week 33 Photo

33 Weeks.........our Honeydew

Our baby boy is now this size of a honeydew melon. It is amazing to me to think that he is that size when looking at my stomach.

I am 33 weeks now-only 7 more weeks to go!! It still seems so far off but really is pretty close. I am feeling wonderful. I have been experiencing alot less pain in my pubic area, legs, and back which is a relief because I am sure it will get worse again as he grows or changes positions. I continue to take tums (around 2-4 a day) to help with my heartburn and indigestion. I am loving being out of school and having the ability to sleep in when I want. I have also been taking a nap almost everyday.......it's pretty amazing having the summers off! We went to the doctor yesterday. The doctor informed me Hudson's measurements are great and he is right on schedule although my belly is still measuring 2 cm ahead. She believes it is just the way I am carrying him and his position. I had gained two pounds from the last appointment two weeks ago.

At 33 weeks, Hudson is a little over 4 pounds and 17 inches long. His skeleton is hardening and he is losing the wrinkled look to his skin. Bones in his skull have flexibiility to move and are not fused together. They can overlap slightly making it easier for him to come through the birth canal. His brain and other tissues in his skull can continue to grow during infancy and childhood; therefore, these bones don't fuse until early adulthood. Hudson's senses continue to improve with each week in the womb.

Tonight we are attending a wedding of one of our friends and then we are headed to the lake on Saturday to celebrate our 1 year anniversary at the cabin and going to eat at the Landing. I can't believe it has already been a year of marriage and six years spent together. Jeremy is a wonderful husband and will be an amazing father. I can't wait to see him hold Hudson in his arms for the first time. I love you babe!

Week 32 Photo

3D pic of Hudson

Hudson's face.....his eyes were closed but you can see his little nose and lips pretty clearly. The distortion on the far right side of his face is my placenta (sorry)!!

32 Weeks

Our Hudson is still the approximate size of a squash. Next week there will be a new fruit comparison to his size.

I am 32 weeks today and feeling pretty good. Jeremy and I started lamaze classes last night that go for the next six weeks. We enjoyed the first class, our teacher, and the relaxation tips. I even got a massage out of it! We will go every Thursday for the next six weeks. Hudson has been very active the last few weeks. He was moving alot during class last night so when we got home I laid down on the bed and lifted my shirt. Jeremy and I just watched him move, punch, and roll in my belly for about 15-20 minutes. It was such a neat experience to see my stomach raise and move with each of his movements and Jerm felt him so many times. He has been doing the same thing this morning after my shower and I watched his every move for about 10 minutes. I love my boy so much already!!

I have been feeling pretty good besides the everyday experience of heartburn/indigestion. Tums do a nice job of relieving my symptoms. My ankles have been swelling more the past few days but I am assuming this is because he is growing and because it is so warm outside. I am done with school so I slept in today which was so nice! I am planning on taking advantage of sleeping in for as long as I can until he arrives.

We have also listed our house with a realtor and are hoping it sells quickly. We had the sign put out front on Wednesday and an agent already had called our realtor to show it on Thursday. We haven't heard anything but our assuming they weren't interested. We will just pray it happens fast for us!

At 32 weeks, Hudson is around 3.75 pounds (we know he is 4.5 because of the ultrasound) and his approximate length is 17 inches long. He is taking up lots of space in the uterus now. I should be gaining around a pound a week from this point on in the pregnancy. Hudson will gain 1/3 to 1/2 of his weight in the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He has fingernails, toenails, and hair at this point in the pregnancy although it may just be peach fuzz. His skin is becoming soft and smooth.

Big baby?

We had another ultrasound today to check Hudson's growth. I have measured ahead most of the pregnancy and my last appointment I measured three weeks ahead. My doctor didn't seem concerned but said it's routine if you measure 3 or more centimeters ahead to go ahead and get an ultrasound to see how big the baby really is. My doctor just keeps saying that Hudson is probably going to be a big baby.

Today at our appointment we got to see his handsome face, his heart beating strong, and his movements. His hands were in front of his face some of the time and we learned he is facing down. His weight was 4.5 pounds which is the 54th percentile- so very average. My fluid was normal and all of his measurements were right on schedule. His head is still measuring a little bit big but this doesn't surprise us because Jeremy had a large head as a child. The tech didn't seem to be concerned about this.

Right after the tech seemed to finish up on her measurements I asked her if she could flip it over to 3D and see if we could get a few pictures of his face. She took two pictures but my placenta and uterus were getting in the way. She said that it's hard to get a very clear/good picture unless his head is right in the fluid and not up against the placenta or uterus.

I will post a picture later from our ultrasound of our baby boy. At this point, I believe my due date will remain the same and we look forward to his arrival at the end of July!!! I have my next doctor's appointment next Thursday where we will go over the ultrasound results. I will update then!
