Our baby boy is now this size of a honeydew melon. It is amazing to me to think that he is that size when looking at my stomach.
I am 33 weeks now-only 7 more weeks to go!! It still seems so far off but really is pretty close. I am feeling wonderful. I have been experiencing alot less pain in my pubic area, legs, and back which is a relief because I am sure it will get worse again as he grows or changes positions. I continue to take tums (around 2-4 a day) to help with my heartburn and indigestion. I am loving being out of school and having the ability to sleep in when I want. I have also been taking a nap almost everyday.......it's pretty amazing having the summers off! We went to the doctor yesterday. The doctor informed me Hudson's measurements are great and he is right on schedule although my belly is still measuring 2 cm ahead. She believes it is just the way I am carrying him and his position. I had gained two pounds from the last appointment two weeks ago.
At 33 weeks, Hudson is a little over 4 pounds and 17 inches long. His skeleton is hardening and he is losing the wrinkled look to his skin. Bones in his skull have flexibiility to move and are not fused together. They can overlap slightly making it easier for him to come through the birth canal. His brain and other tissues in his skull can continue to grow during infancy and childhood; therefore, these bones don't fuse until early adulthood. Hudson's senses continue to improve with each week in the womb.
Tonight we are attending a wedding of one of our friends and then we are headed to the lake on Saturday to celebrate our 1 year anniversary at the cabin and going to eat at the Landing. I can't believe it has already been a year of marriage and six years spent together. Jeremy is a wonderful husband and will be an amazing father. I can't wait to see him hold Hudson in his arms for the first time. I love you babe!
