7 Months Old

Hudson you are 7 months old now. You are growing too fast and the time is flying by. I can't believe we were in the hospital 7 months ago to give birth to your sweet face. That day changed Mommy and Daddy's world forever and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to us.

Your newest thing as of today is you are army crawling. You can make it from one side of the room to the other pretty quickly if you are after something. You are able to play with your toys and keep yourself entertained for longer periods of time now. You love your spinning zoo toy and your walker. You went from only being able to move backwards into your walker to now moving in all directions. We can't take our eyes off of you or you are trying to unplug the cords in the wall or open drawers. You are such a smart cookie! You still enjoy your Johnny JumpUp and sometimes you get so tickled in it you can't stop laughing. You love to be outside. We have had a few really nice days lately and we have taken you out in your exersaucer and you LOVE it. You also enjoy being naked and taking your baths.

You are talking more with each day. A more recent thing is you are grunting. You have started to echo us more when we talk to you. Your personality continues to shine and you are very social! We can also tell that you made be strong-willed when you are older.

You love your baby food. Your favorite vegetable is green beans but you will eat carrots and sweet potatoes. You like almost all fruits: pears, apples, and peaches. You are not a huge fan of bananas at this point. Knock on wood, you have had no allergic reactions to any of your baby food. You are using a sippy cup with a large nipple right now with apple juice and water mixed in it. You seem to enjoy it! You are still drinking around 5-6 ounces each bottle and at night you take two bottles with half formula and half breastmilk. Mommy is weaning herself right now so she can stop pumping for good. She has about 2-3 months stored for you in the deep freeze.

You recently cut your 3rd tooth. It is your first one on the top and your second one on the top is about to break through the skin. We have had to give you more tyenol recently because they are causing you to be in pain. You haven't been sleeping very good when your mouth hurts.

You continue to wake us up to eat at least two times a night. This is very tiring for Mommy and Daddy but we love you so much that we do it anyways. We hope sometime in the near future you will sleep through the whole night so we can too.

Your eyes are changing color. It appears right now that the majority of them are blue with brown in the middle. I think they will eventually turn to green and brown and your eye color will be hazel like your parents.

You are the happiest and sweetest baby. We get compliments all of the time from people that you are such an alert and happy boy. We heard this just the other day at the MSU basketball game. We agree with everyone!! Thank you for brightening our days each and every day. We both love you with all of our heart and soul and would do anything for you sweet boy!
