20 weeks.......Our cantaloupe

I am 20 weeks and 1 day pregnant today. I am halfway there. It is crazy how fast the time has flown by. I am loving every minute of being pregnant and having this sweet baby inside of me (now that the sickness is gone). I wanted to update yesterday but was too excited that I didn't make time for it. ha! I am feeling wonderful. Our baby has been kicking alot more the past few days. I can tell that the baby's movements are getting harder and stronger. The baby usually moves more at night before I go to sleep or first thing in the morning. I am continually feeling like I have more energy which is such a great feeling. I am able to eat anything and my weird cravings are subsiding a bit. We went to the doctor yesterday and had our ultrasound. We know what we are having but I wanted to make a separate post for that!! It was neat to get to see our baby's size, shape, movements, arms, legs, and heartbeat.

For 20 weeks, our baby is around 6.5 inches long from head to bottom or 10 inches long from head to toe (about size of a banana)and weighs around 10.6 ounces. Genitals are fully formed therefore an ultrasound can detect the gender of the baby. The baby is swallowing more with each day. This is very good practice for their digestive system.
