Boy!!!!
During the ultrasound, we were able to see our son's arms and legs, organs, and heartbeat. It was a very neat thing to see how much he had grown from our last ultrasound.
His heartbeat was at 149 which is within the normal range(120-180). He weighed 12 ounces which is a little more than average but I am thinking that we may be a week ahead of schedule. At our very first appointment Jeremy and I thought from our dates that we were 8 weeks pregnant but our doctor said our baby measured 6 weeks so I am trying not to stress about his weight. I've also been told that each baby's weight can fluctuate from anothers.
He was moving his arms and legs during the ultrasound and even swallowed a HUGE gulp of amniotic fluid that we got to watch him swallow. It was crazy to see his whole body move while he digested the fluid. It was also very neat to see his heart. You could see all four chambers of his little heart beating and moving.
We asked the technician that did our ultrasound if everything looked good. She said it did to her but the doctor would look over it and send my doctor the report of all
of the measurements and pictures. We know that God is watching over our baby and that we will be blessed with the most precious and beautiful baby ever. We just pray that he is healthy!
We saw his four limbs, his face, nose, mouth even tongue when he swallowed, spine, kidneys, stomach, heart, and his male parts. He wasn't shy and the tech was able to get a good view more than once of his parts.
We are so excited to be able to call him by name and know that we are having a baby boy in just about 20 weeks. I didn't care either way what we were having but deep down Jeremy wanted a boy (what Dad doesn't want a boy). I am so happy that he is getting what he wanted. He is going to be such a wonderful father to our son.
Here is a picture after our appointment on Friday morning.
