22 Weeks.......Our papaya

We are 22 weeks into our first pregnancy and loving it! Baby Hudson is moving more with everyday. This morning he woke me up around 7:30 by kicking right at my belly button harder than it has been the whole pregnancy. Jerm had already left for work but I know that anyone would have been able to feel him. Jeremy is the only person who has felt him kick. I am anxious for my mom, sister, dad, Brandon, and friends to feel him move too. I have lots of energy and we enjoyed our vacation in Florida. It was a relaxing time and flying was no problem. Of course, I was a little anxious about flying pregnant but it was just fine.

At 22 weeks, our baby weighs approximately one pound and is around 11 inches long. Baby Hudson can hear noise from down in the womb. Research suggests music and parent's voices are among the most soothing to the baby. His face is fully formed and he now looks like a miniature newborn. Hudson is now settling into sleep cycles and sleeping around 12-14 hours a day. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are more distinct at this time and he is even developing small tooth buds under his gums. Eyes have formed but the irises still lack pigment (color). His pancreas is also developing steadily at this time during the pregnancy. The pancreas is responsible for producing some important hormones.
